Gert Lund will be at the Calgary Farmers Market starting this Thursday. Go and say ‘Hi’ and that you were thinking of him and then buy something from him! He should have spinach and chard and whatever else he has been able to coax out of the terrible growing conditions he has faced this year.
Don’t forget about the next Farm Table Dinner on Sunday, August 30th at Chinook Honey and Chinook Arch Meadery. Tickets sales have been quite good for this event and we are looking forward to it. The dinner will feature Cakadu Heritage lamb and a Broek Pork Acres suckling pig. You can purchase tickets by calling Forage.
It’s our last week before we close for 2 weeks and I can tell you we are all really looking forward to some time off. Our businesses have two different seasons – the spring that peaks in June and the holiday season that peaks in December – and it’s important that everyone gets a break and reenergizes a bit. Once again thank-you to everyone for your understanding and we’ll see you when we return on August 17th.
